The Ministry of Education on Friday announced a list of centres in Sharjah that have been designated to provide Covid-19 vaccines for employees in the education sector.
Taking to Twitter, the ministry noted that the centres had been allocated to provide the vaccines for free to all members of the administrative and teaching staff as well as all employees of the Ministry of Education.
The list detailed four centres in Sharjah, and one each in the eastern regions of Kalba, Khor Fakkan and Dhaid.
The centres available in Sharjah are at Al Sajaa Mall, Muwailih Suburb Council, Expo Centre Sharjah, and Mughaidir Suburb Council.
Other allocated centres are the University of Sharjah Hall, Kalba Branch; Huyawa Suburb Council and Al Bustan Suburb Council.
The move has been undertaken in partnership with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, it added.
It follows the ministry's announcement in January this year, wherein two centres in Fujairah were similarly allotted to provide the Covid jab for school teachers and staff.
